Gender mainstreaming is increasingly recognized as essential for designing and delivering inclusive, equitable, and effective hydrometeorological services. To advance this goal, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is organizing a Virtual Workshop on Gender Mainstreaming across Hydrometeorological Services - taking place on 18 and 25 November 2025.

This workshop aims to gather evidence on good practices, identify challenges, and provide recommendations on integrating gender perspectives across the work of the WMO Commission for Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine, and related Environmental Services and Applications (SERCOM).

๐Ÿ’ฌ Call for Case Studies

Share your experience on how youโ€™re bringing gender perspectives into your work, and get the chance to present your case study during the workshop!

We invite members of the hydrometeorological community to share case studies, tools, experiences, and approaches that demonstrate how gender-responsive practices are being embedded in operations, services, or policies across communities and sectors - from climate and hydrology to agriculture, health, and disaster risk reduction, from aviation to early warnings.

Selected contributions will inform panel discussions and interactive knowledge-sharing sessions during the workshop.
