Peter Njeru Peter posted in Africa Community

Hello everyone,
My name is Peter Njeru, from Kenya. I am a youth negotiator currently part of the Land Youth Negotiators Programme (LYNP), led by the Youth Negotiators Academy (YNA). I am additionally a master's student at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, undertaking a Master of Art in Environmental Policy. My research is on land use and land cover change policies and the migratory Endangered Steppe Eagle bird. Professionally, I work at BirdLife International Africa, as a policy officer, supporting organisation engagements in environmental policy, multilateral environmental agreements, and site casework. I also co-chair the Africa Biodiversity Working Group (ABWG) for Major Groups and Stakeholders to UNEP supporting shaping civil society voice related to biodiversity ahead of Africa Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) meetings. I look forward to engaging and contributing to the mission and vision of this community.😍
